I was hanging out in a tech stream last night where the host was demonstrating how random number generation scripts operate, and watching those digital counters instantly spit out numbers got me thinking about the older text-based games I used to play back in college. I went looking for a casual modern equivalent online but got completely overwhelmed by these incredibly chaotic, flashing casino interfaces that felt like they were trying to give my browser a virus, which completely turned me off because all I wanted was a clean, simple interface where I could just pick a threshold and see if the next generated value would land above or below it without all the visual noise.
